You can help keep your jet ski in peak condition too. All you have to do is follow a few simple maintenance procedures.
Keep your jet ski clean
Each time you come back from time on the water give your jet ski a good wash. A good car wash and a soft sponge are the only tools you'll need.
Flush the system
Every time you come back from some fun on the water be sure to flush the system. Consult your jet ski's user manual to find the recommended way to perform this task.
But basically what you should do is start the motor first - add water using your garden hose - run for a couple of minutes - turn the water off - rev the motor hard several times to blow the water out of the system.
Protect the engine bay and electrical system
Coat all the exposed areas in the engine bay with a good water disperse spray. Talk to us for advice on which spray is right for the task.
Disconnect the battery
If you're putting your jet ski away for winter be sure to disconnect the jet ski battery. A 1 amp trickle charger is all you need to keep your battery charged.
If you've got it let the air blow on it
After time out on the water be sure to open the storage hatches and the seat and leave them open. Airflow will prevent moisture forming prevent unpleasant odours.
Don't forget your jet ski's trailer
Be sure to hose down your trailer after each launch and recovery and regularly check to ensure that the hazard lights and brake lights are working too.
Check the trailer's tyre pressures too - one flat tyre can cause a lot of damage if you don't realise it's flat
